Getto songs

 When the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, Gołda Tencer has created a performance dedicated to the memory of those who died in the ghetto.

This performance consists of songs in Polish and Yiddish and excerpts from letters, diaries, and records written in the ghetto.

Gołda Tencer: We evoke the shadows of those murdered in the ghettos and camps. What has been left of them is a handful of ash, a lump of sand sifted through time. The mouths of hundreds of thousands of Jewish children are forever silent, and some of the few who survived bear witness to the truth.
